Supporting young people in
North East Essex since 1988

We are an award-winning charity established to provide parenting and housing support services and counselling to young people across North East Essex and more recently, Suffolk.

We provide guidance and support to young people on various needs including advice on benefits, housing and homelessness, pregnancy and parenting support services, dealing with anxiety, school absence, wellbeing and much more.

We reach over 8,000 young people each year by working closely with individuals, families, GPs, local schools and wider support networks.

Pregnancy and Parenting

YES supports young people and young parents (up to age 25) across Colchester and Tendring during pregnancy and the early years. We provide personalised programmes including emotional wellbeing support, help with parenting, bonding and early relationships, and practical advice around housing and benefits. Our support helps parents feel calmer, more confident and less alone, while creating safe, nurturing and positive beginnings for their babies and family life.

Housing and Homelessness

YES is here for all young people aged 16-25 that may be facing the threat of homelessness in the Colchester and Tendring area. We provide advice on homeless prevention and housing options and will support with this. Our support can include advocacy at appointments, income checks and signposting. We support our young people holistically and we are there for them every step of the way.

Counselling and Wellbeing

YES offers counselling for 11-25 year olds through our in-house centres at Colchester and Holland-on-Sea which are now open to referrals. We have 3 routes available:
