YES have won The Charity Award at the Colchester Business Awards 2023
Last night YES won the Charity Award at this year’s Colchester Business Awards night, coming home with a beautiful trophy.
We were one of six shortlisted charities up for the award, with Age Well East, Beacon House, Community 360, Level Best and Open Road all earning a spot from over 350 nominated charities and organisations. Each of them are fantastic charities that deserved their shortlisted position.
Our staff took to the stage to accept the award, where our Fundraising & Volunteers Officer, Kerry, was invited to say a few words:
This for us is huge- we're celebrating 35 years this year. As a charity, we're always told that the young people who need us will know about us, but we need to get to those that don't know about us and need us.
We want to help them be the best people that they can be...they can be the YOU in 20 years time.
Before the ceremony began, our staff kicked off the night with a celebration of the nomination in the Trinity Street office.

We’d also like to thank everybody that works at YES, the wonderful volunteers that dedicate their time here and the many organisations that have partnered with us to enable us to make a difference to the lives of young people in North-East Essex through delivering meaningful projects and programmes.
